If you want to be able to use your coverage on January 1, 2017 you must submit your application by December 15, 2016. You still have until January 31, 2017 to apply for 2017 coverage, but it will start on February 1st or March 1st, depending on when you enroll in January. Once you submit your application, make sure you send us all verification documents we may request from you AND pay your first premium bill so your insurance company can send you ID card(s).

You can still apply for 2016 coverage through Access Health CT at any time if you have a Qualifying Life Event, if you are an American Indian or Alaska Native, or if you are applying for HUSKY/CHIP. A Special Enrollment Period lasts 60 days from the date of your Qualifying Life Event. Your coverage will not start until you submit proof of your Qualifying Life Event.
