Access Health CT is Connecticut’s official health insurance marketplace, where you can shop, compare and enroll in quality health and dental plans. It is also the only place where you can qualify for financial help to lower your costs, and if eligible, enroll in no- or low-cost coverage through HUSKY Health Programs (Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)) or the Covered Connecticut Program.

Created and funded by the State of Connecticut, the Covered Connecticut Program, administered by the Connecticut Department of Social Services, provides health insurance, dental coverage and non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) benefits at no cost to residents who meet eligibility requirements.

Most people get some type of financial help, low-cost or free coverage. Take Another Look!

The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) made more financial help available through Access Health CT for residents at virtually every income level. Many existing customers will see savings for their current plan and some people may be eligible for the first time. Enter some basic information about your household to understand your options.

Connecticut residents who purchase health insurance through Access Health CT will continue to receive enhanced subsidies to help pay for the cost of their monthly health insurance payments (premium), thanks to the IRA. This financial help is now extended for three more years (through plan year 2025).
